Number of FSE slots increased to 18 – preparations for Formula Student Germany 2010 on track

Category: Competition

The number of starting grids for the first Formula Student Electric (FSE) has been increased from 12 to 18 slots. With this measure the Executive Committee is convinced to enable all teams with a finished pure electric car to participate in the first FSE event 2010.

This year the style and dynamometer event will be canceled due to schedule and safety reasons. As the design and cost judging for the FSE teams will be carried out Thursday afternoon, the schedule is too tight for the style event to take place. The Executive Committee wants to thank Professor Kelly and Roberto Maronde for all their efforts during the past years to increase and develop students’ styling skills. After a thorough evaluation several safety concerns have led to the decision to also cancel the dynamometer event in 2010.

Numerous further organizational issues concerning the running of Formula Student Germany and the first Formula Student Electric were discussed and decided. As a result, this summers‘ event will offer yet again an even better organizational structure and many new event aspects to participating teams.
