SLV Workshop
Ever since the first Formula Student Germany at the Hockenheimring in 2006 SLV has provided support in welding technology to teams participating in FSG. Therefore, on the 14th and 15th of May 2010, a welding workshop was offered to 33 members from Formula Student teams competing at FSG at the welding institute in Mannheim where SLV specialist familiarized the participants with some of the complexities of the welding process. There was even the opportunity to take part in a welding exam to gain an additional qualification for their FSG team. Focus of the two days was on practical application, from basic principles for beginners to tips for welding thin-walled steel or aluminum welding for advanced participants.
At this point, we would like to thank the SLV as the organizer of the workshop and we are looking forward to an energetic support of the FSG 2010 at Hockenheimring.
